I am a recent graduate from the University of South Dakota with my Master's degree in Psychology and Counseling in Education with a specialization in School Counseling. Before this, I received my Bachelor's degree from South Dakota State University in Human Development and Family Studies with a minor in Sociology.
Many ask me where I grew up. The easiest answer? The upper Midwest. I moved around quite a bit as a child having switched schools ten times between kindergarten and my high school graduation. I have faced a variety of challenges in my life and have known for some time I wanted a career helping kids who are also facing challenging situations. It took me many years to reach the point of asking for help. I want to be an additional support students need in their lives, something I did not always have myself.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, reading, watching documentaries, and traveling to new places.
I am not perfect. I will never claim to be. However, I will do everything in my power to help those around me to be successful and happy with the life they choose.
